Martin Luther King on Service

We recently celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day here in the United States (third Monday of January). On Thursday of that week, SIM USA welcomed Dr. Tite Tiénou to speak to the U.S. and International office staff on the topic of "Ethnicity." Dr. Tiénou condensed a two-week seminary course into two hours and gave us a firm foundation for a theology of ethnicity. On Friday, I led prayers at the International office, reading an excerpt from a message by Dr. King on the Good Samaritan. I closed our time that morning with this video, a compelling compilation of archival audio with the text of Dr. King’s message on service.
