On January 1, 2007, one of SIM’s ministry partners around the world, HCJB World Radio, announced it was changing its name to "HCJB Global," and with the new name has come a new brand reflecting a new vision for the future.
The new name/logo/brand was announced to HCJB constituents in the December 2006 "Truth In Motion" newsletter (posted online here). The newsletter states, "As we asked God for direction, the vision became clear—God gave us these two dynamic ministries so that we can empower the outreach of media and healthcare around the globe. We are also committed to combining media and healthcare to serve as the voice and hands of Jesus to a lost world."
Also with this announcement, HCJB unveiled a new mission statement and a new vision statement, renamed its media outreach "HCJB Global Voice," renamed its healthcare ministries "HCJB Global Hands," issued a press release, gave its website a facelift to reflect the new colors, and explained all of it in a really nice Flash presentation.
I just wanted to pass this news along and publicly congratulate my friend Jon Hirst and everyone in Communications at HCJB Global for the excellent work they’ve done in making this huge transition! It’s an honor to partner with HCJB in mission around the world.
