SIM Is Like Google

Who doesn’t want to be like Google?! Well, this may not be the most flattering comparison, but again (as in my LEGO example) I find strange comfort in being right in there with the big guys like Google (even if it isn’t in the best way).
Here’s what I’m talking about:

What do you see? Three European country maps that all look … different … right? Well, one of tasks that faced me when I started working with SIM International in 2006 was the fact that the organization did not have a unified set of good, well-design maps! I spent a little bit of time investigating other options to the ones we were using online, but the tyranny of the urgent quickly moved me on to more urgent projects. And I haven’t gotten back to addressing the maps issue yet!
Anyone have suggestions for where to find a good set of well-designed country maps? I’d try searching on Google, but I’m not sure that would help …

A few that popped up quickly…

http://www.mapresources.com/
Maybe not the best, but a decent option.
