Tall Skinny Kiwi Kingdom Journalist

My emerging missional church friend and Wikiklesia co-conspirator Andrew Jones is rallying friends in the Missional Tribe network (and others) to help raise $1,500 for new video equipment that will be used to tell the stories of missional Christian communities in 20 countries across Europe. Andrew (and his family) are calling this the “Great Commission Go Anywhere Pilgrimage,†which will take them from Turkey to Ukraine to Portugal (and back to Scotland, presumably, which is where they now reside).
Bill Kinnon (himself a talented video producer) explains,
At Missional Tribe and elsewhere, we are raising funds to equip the Jones’ family with a great small AVCHD camera, monopod, shotgun mic, handheld mic and mini camera audio mixer. Andrew already has the editing facility on his Mac laptop. The film One Size Fits All, shot with a more expensive but less capable camera than what we are proposing, shows the power of well told stories. We can expect great stories from the Jones’ family, as well.
Jonny Baker, who oversees Andrew’s work for Church Mission Society (and who I had the pleasure of having lunch with the last time I was over in the UK), gives a little more background on the kingdom journalism trek the Jones family is undertaking. It’s all a part of the creative work that CMS is doing, which I applaud.
Already (as of this writing), Andrew has raised nearly half of the total amount from just eight online donors (I’m considering “chipping in” as well, won’t you?):

Steve,
You are much too kind in your reference to me. Thanks. And thanks also to making mention of this here. I’ll let you know if the numbers go up.
Can’t wait to start getting the reports from Andrew and family.
