Lark News is a satirical Christian “news” site. This story just hits home in so many hilarious ways, I had to pass it along:
Missionaries finally update prayer card
OCALA, Fla. — After 28 years of handing out the same prayer card, Jeanette and Richard Nusbaum, missionaries to Ghana, have finally updated their photo.
”We overprinted,” says Richard, recalling the day in 1979 when he mistakenly placed an order for 100,000 cards instead of 1,000. “Rather than waste the Lord’s money printing new ones, we decided to use them until they ran out.”
The cards officially ran out last Wednesday at a mid-week service in Kansas. The Nusbaums now hope their new photo, which shows them nearly three decades older, doesn’t shock and alienate long-time supporters.
”Some people don’t even know that in the meantime, we had three children and seven grandchildren,” he says.•

That’s pretty funny, might have to share that one round the place. That means that 100,000 people have their prayer card!! We had 1000 printed about 4 years ago and now they are out of date but they won’t get used up.

Just to reiterate: Lark News is a humor site. This story is satire, not fact.
The really funny thing is that this is so close to reality that it’s believable, right?!
