What Is Kingdom Journalism?
The Internet and new media technology has leveled the communication playing field. Today, anyone with access to the Web can now tell stories that are heard around the world. Because of this amazing shift, we are all communicators. Put another way, we are all citizen journalists. And as followers of Jesus Christ, we are also citizens of the kingdom of God. In effect, we are all “kingdom journalists,” and our calling as kingdom journalists is to “describe God’s mighty works” (Acts 2:11).
I’ve seen some wonderful expressions of this since joining SIM—from the multidirectional mission movement (”from everywhere to everywhere”) to the Pastors Book Set project breaking down denominational barriers to the caring ministry of SIM workers among those infected with and affected by HIV and AIDS.
Perhaps the most striking example has been the story of SIM’s response to the food shortage in Niger, establishing grain banks that provide lower-cost grain during the hunger season. Even when the Nigerien government attempted to block the BBC and other local and international media from reporting on the situation in 2006, SIM missionaries were there, on the ground, telling the story of what God was doing through this vital, life-giving ministry.
So what is God doing in your world?

So good to know that I’m not the only person thinking that kingdom journalism is legit and critical to our mission as Christ followers ..
